An Admission & An Introduction

First, let me start with an admission. This blog was conceived when I still had a job. The plan was to contrast the whole wear a suit to work, stick on the wellies back home thing I've got going on here. Well, I got made redundant so that kind of robbed the blog of much of it's impetus. So I sat around for a few months proving the rule that if you have time to write, you can never think of something to write about, but now it it has arrived, that flash of inspiration, that moment of clarity! What I'm doing now is far more unusual than working in the city and playing farmer in the country; I'm a house husband! My wife has gone back to work full time; looking after my daughter and the cottage is now my full time job. I organise doctors appointments, do bathtime five nights out of seven, the marker pen & family calendar are my obsession, not Christina's. It is very weird & very fun and I hope to give a little insight into one of the few job titles that still makes people say "Oh" when you introduce yourself at parties.
